Privacy Policy

How your account information, private plans, and device data are handled.

Effective and last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

Plan Your Day, based in Chikkalasandra, Bengaluru, is responsible for the personal information processed to provide this planner. This policy covers the website and its mobile, installed-web-app, and desktop presentations. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to simpledailyplanner26@gmail.com.

2. Information we process

When you sign in with Google, we process your account identifier, email address, and profile information made available for sign-in, such as your name or profile image. Google handles your Google password; Plan Your Day does not ask you to enter it into the planner.

We process the planner content and settings you choose to provide. Avoid placing sensitive personal information, passwords, financial credentials, or another person’s information in your notes unless you have a lawful reason to do so.

  • Plans, titles, notes, dates, times, categories, priorities, recurrence settings, completion records, and subtasks.
  • Saved day templates and account preferences, including theme, highlight colour, week start, and reminder settings.
  • If reminders are enabled: device push endpoints, subscription encryption keys, time zone, and delivery records needed to send reminders.
  • Technical information needed to operate and protect the service, which may include network request details, IP addresses, browser/device information, and error diagnostics.
  • Emails and other information you send when requesting support or exercising privacy rights.

3. Why we use information

We use information to authenticate you, keep plans private to your account, store and sync your content, apply preferences, deliver requested reminders, enable exports, respond to support requests, diagnose errors, and protect the service against misuse.

Where a legal basis is required, processing relies on providing the service you request, your consent for optional permissions where applicable, legitimate interests in secure and reliable operation where recognized by law, or legal obligations. Permissions such as notifications can be withdrawn in your device or browser settings.

4. Storage on your devices

The planner uses local browser storage and caches for sign-in, preferences, previously loaded plans, and pending offline changes. On the published app, a service worker may cache app resources so previously available content can remain usable without a connection.

Anyone with access to your unlocked device or browser profile may be able to access locally stored information. Signing out, removing an app, or deleting a cloud account does not necessarily remove every device cache. Clear site data on shared devices and do not clear storage containing offline changes you still need to sync.

5. Service providers and disclosures

The service uses Lovable Cloud for account authentication and planner-data hosting, Google for Google sign-in and hosted fonts, and browser or operating-system push services to deliver notifications where supported. Hosting and diagnostic services may process technical information needed for operation. App stores process store purchases and installation information under their own policies.

We may disclose information to service providers to perform these functions, where legally required, to protect users and the service, or in connection with a lawful business transfer subject to appropriate privacy safeguards. Your planner is not made public simply because you use the service. Exports you choose to share are outside the planner’s access controls.

6. Notifications and external services

Reminders are optional and require supported devices and permission. Reminder notifications may include a plan title and can appear on a lock screen or notification history; adjust your device settings if this could expose private information.

If you open a calendar export in another application, information in that file is handled by that application. Google, app stores, and other external services have their own privacy policies. We do not control their independent processing.

7. Retention and international processing

We retain account and planner information as needed to provide the service, respond to deletion requests, meet applicable legal obligations, and address security or dispute needs. Local caches, backups, diagnostic logs, and delivery records may have different lifecycles. We do not promise a fixed deletion time or immediate removal from all backups.

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers must be subject to appropriate legal safeguards. Contact us with questions about the handling of your information.

8. Security

Sign-in and account-level access controls are used to limit access to private plans. No internet service or device storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your Google account, keep devices updated, and report suspected unauthorized access to our contact email. If a personal-data incident requires notice, we will handle notification in accordance with applicable law.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing depends on it, and complain to a competent authority. Where applicable, you may also have rights concerning grievances or nomination under Indian data-protection law as it takes effect.

You can edit plans and preferences in the planner, export the selected period, and turn off reminders. For account deletion or other rights requests, email simpledailyplanner26@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to verify ownership before acting, and lawful exceptions may apply. See Account and Data Deletion for the request process.

10. Children and updates

The service is not directed to children. Where a user is legally a child, use and processing of their information must meet applicable requirements, including parental authorization where required. If you believe a child’s information was provided without the necessary authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

This policy may change as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the revision date and provide additional notice where required. Contact: Plan Your Day, Chikkalasandra, Bengaluru; simpledailyplanner26@gmail.com.
